KISD On-site Private Lessons Program - All orchestra students in grades 6th-12th are highly encouraged to enroll in on-site instruction with a professional instrument specialist. The weekly fee is $24 for 20-24 minute sessions which are taken during orchestra classes. The benefits of private lessons include:

• Personalized one-on-one instruction with a professional instrument specialist

• Provide added supplemental support to daily classroom instruction

• Beneficial for students who want to excel in concert repertoire, UIL, All-Region, and Solo & Ensemble contests

• Students show immense growth in musicianship and performance skills

Private instructors will provide their individual policies and expectations on the first day of instruction

Non-KISD Off-site Private Instruction - Many of our private instructors offer lessons at their studio after-school and on weekends. This service is not offered by Keller ISD. It is the responsibility of the parent to arrange off-site private lessons with the instructor directly. Please be advised that rates may be different and are set by the instructor.

Students who have earned placement in Varsity ensembles are required to take private lessons to remain in Varsity ensembles. There is limited scholarship opportunities for students who need financial assistance. Please click the Private Lessons Program dropdown tab for more details.
